Produced by
distilling the blossoms of the bitter orange or Seville orange tree, neroli oil
emits a sweet, full-bodied citrus aroma with spicy undertones. It’s known for
it healing properties, prized for perfumes on its own or blended with other
oils, and often recommended for soothing emotional upsets.
It takes about a
1000 pounds of orange blossoms to make one pound of neroli oil, thus its
comparatively high price. That also makes it an oil vulnerable to being “cut”
with other oils or carrier oils to reduce the cost…read the label and know what
you are buying.

- For depression, anxiety, or stress, put a few drops in a diffuser or in your bath water.
