Weekly Wellness Tip: Dreamy Nighttime Drink



I first saw this recipe on Pinterest and have since seen it on a number of sites and blogs. The old wive’s tale about warm milk helping you sleep certainly holds true with this tasty version. It’s a great, healthy alternative to rich desserts. Helps conquer that evening sweet tooth while treating yourself to some calcium.

Ingredients: 
1 cup milk (some people mentioned experimenting with almond or soy milk)
1 teaspoon honey
1 teaspoon vanilla extract (most recipes call for 2 drops; I like more)
1 pinch ground cinnamon

Pour the milk into a microwave safe mug and place in microwave. Cook on high until the milk is very hot and begins to foam (depending on your microwave, 2-3 minutes.) Stir in the honey and vanilla. Sprinkle the cinnamon on top. Enjoy!
