Rosemary oil stimulates cell renewal which makes it a
popular ingredient in skin and hair care products. It was one of the first
plants used for medicine, food, and religious rituals. Herbalists use it to
restore memory and overcome mental fatigue. European doctors use it for
everything from treating arthritis, colds, and coughs to migraines and
digestive disorders.
- Try mixing a little in your skin care blends.
- You can make a warm compress for muscular pain by mixing 1 drop of rosemary with 1 drop each of ginger and peppermint oils, and 1 quart of hot water. Soak a clean cloth in the mixture and apply it to the sore area.
- Mix up an all-purpose digestive aid with 2 oz. carrier oil, 3 drops basil oil, 2 drops laurel oil, 2 drops rosemary oil, 2 drops thyme oil, 1 drop coriander oil, 1 drop ginger oil, 1 drop peppermint oil. Rub the mixture over your abdominal area as needed.
